United Way of Lancaster County's Volunteer Center makes it easy to get involved. Through our Get Connected volunteer portal, individuals, families, students, businesses, and groups can find volunteer opportunities that match their interests, skills, and schedules.

Annual Events:

  • Martin Luther King Jr. Day

    • Honor Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.'s legacy by giving back to the community. Each January, volunteers come together to complete meaningful service projects that address local needs and strengthen Lancaster County through a shared commitment to service.

  • Back to School Event 
    hosted by Representative Nikki Rivera and Representative Ismail Smith Wade-El

    • Help students start the school year ready to learn. Volunteers support the distribution of backpacks filled with school supplies and other essential items while connecting families with valuable community resources and services.

  • Week of Caring

    • Week of Caring brings together individuals, families, and workplace teams for a county-wide week of service. Volunteers roll up their sleeves to complete special projects for local nonprofits, helping organizations tackle important needs while making a lasting impact across Lancaster County.
